Pandemic Adaptations

So I haven't had a "real" workout in a couple of weeks. I've been trying to get my 20 pushups in a day. Work has been extra stressful in these times. Which means I should probably workout more.

What I thought about doing was using some of my morning time to do purging of stuff in the house. Clearing things away. In my head I tell myself because things are slower. However, they really aren't for me. I may still do some of that.

I think I will work on a calisthenics routine, with some exercises done throughout the day as well. As far as powerlifting goes I will not worry about competing during 2020. Maybe things will change by December, but I don't have a reason to push myself in that way.

Things are hard for many people right now. Hopefully we get through this as stronger individuals, families, communities, and as a society.

I'm going to figure out how to work more AND stay healthy!!!

Pandemic Changes Things

I stopped going to the gym early last week because I had an allergy cough and I didn't want to freak out the elders who go to the Y. Now gyms are closed. I stopped doing pushups just because it was a habit to do them at the gym.

It is time to get back into some routine. I work in public health so I've read the worst case and best case scenarios for what we are dealing with. Please take it seriously.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay home as much as possible!

Shifting Gears

Need to reassess going to gym and competitions given current climate. I'll check in again soon.

3 Years!

Today was 3 years since I was told by my primary care doc that I was no longer diabetic. It's continued to be work. I'm still happy and proud to have turned that around. No one is perfect.

So for those who want to shame me for having become diabetic in the first place, I'm not going there. I held myself accountable and turned it around. If you've been able to stay healthy I'm proud of you, I'm happy for you, and I'm glad you're a good example.

KEEP GRINDING!!!
