October Check In

For 10/12 I did a 5k, 3.11 miles. I ran the Wednesday and Friday after that.This week is off. 

A friend asked me to total up my mileage. For the year I have 84.53 miles that I have tracked. 7.44 miles on the last full week. I would go up to 8.18 if I want to increase to by mileage. 136 minutes, so I would go up to 150 minutes if I want to increase by time. It's generally been 40 minutes, 40 minutes, and then a long Sunday run.

I've been challenged to walk daily and I will try to track that.

The pandemic has only gotten worse so I'm staying away from gyms still. Shout out to those who have been going and have been safe. That's something to be proud of.

8K and Annual Checkup

Made it to 8.12 kilometers thus Sunday, had a decent pace of 10 minutes and 40 seconds per kilometer. I had started a stride exercise last week. I'll look for the video and share it. This next Sunday I won't run, I'll postpone it to Monday to run for the Moment in Movement event. I intend to run 5K in the morning and if I have the energy in the evening to run another 5K. 

That's the good news. I did my annual checkup. My blood work came back with good cholesterol. Unfortunately my A1c came back at 6.3. That's the highest I've had since March 2017. I'm back at pre-diabetic. So I'll be working on it. There's lots of things that happened for that and I think I can get it back down. Another plus is that I also had good blood pressure at my appointment. So overall I'll have to work around not going to the gym. 

I feel good about it and want to make sure I'm accountable for it.
